• 为土木工程如排水系统，供水系统，网状污水渠系统，道路，机场，水坝，桥梁以及其他架构准备草图，图表，表格，规划和设计 preparing sketches, charts, tabulations, plans and designs for civil engineering works such as drainage, water supply, sewerage reticulation systems, roads, airports, dams, bridges and other structures
• 执行和指导实地工作和实验室测试 performing and directing fieldwork and laboratory testing
• 阐释工作分配说明，申请合适的程序并选择设备 interpreting work assignment instructions, applying appropriate procedures and selecting equipment
• 收集分析数据，并进行计算 collecting and analysing data, and carrying out computations
• 估算材料成本，确保已完成的工作符合规格，规章以及合同规定 estimating material costs and ensuring finished works are within specifications, regulations and contract provisions
• 检查土木工程工作，组织并监督维护和维修工作 inspecting civil engineering works, and organising and supervising maintenance and repair work
